Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab
Gustav brought a little rain and a little wind to Steak Night. Our experience at Joe’s began with stone crab. A little creamed corn, someone’s special potatoes, hash browns, creamed spinach. Delicious. Their signature bone-in filet was perfectly prepared.
The service was a little on the colloquial side, a little less formal than we’d expect. Someone suggested we’d have preferred the old school guy with the mustache who was hovering elsewhere in the room. Fortunately no one felt the need to call out our waiter repeatedly this time. Full points on decor and ambience.
Of note, this was Mr. Jonathan Glick’s first appearance. Perhaps the first of many?
Ken Griffey Jr. was a few tables over. He looks a little blurry in this pic next to Glick; it’s not the camera, he’s just that fast.

Junior’s a chump – couldn’t get the Sox anywhere in the playoffs this year.
Bottom line: the claws were the best addition to a Steak Night… EVER. Glick, you’re a close second.
The other bottom line (the check) was more difficult to swallow than all previous engagements however, between the Junior sighting and the cornucopia of flavor that we enjoyed, it was worth every cent.
